Winn Wittman Architecture’s Villa Morada is The VIP Party Venue For The 2024 AIA Austin Homes Tour

The 38th Annual AIA Austin Homes Tour is considered among the top fall events in Austin.

This self-directed, curated tour highlights both new construction and renovated properties designed by local, renowned architects.

Villa Morada, designed by Winn Wittman Architecture has been chosen as the venue for this year’s AIA Austin Homes Tour VIP Party.

About Villa Morada

Nestled in the hills West of Austin, Villa Morada is a contemporary interpretation of the mid-century hillside case-study homes of California.

Situated around a private pool and courtyard paradise, the property is split into a 3-bedroom main house a guesthouse with a loft style, and an architecture studio.

With towering steel piers—some of which reach a height of 25 feet—and vegetated courtyard walls, the inventive design solves site-specific problems. Villa Morada is a sophisticated modern home featuring deep purple tones of the native brick, the naturally worn Accoya wood, and the elegant ACM panels.

Its energy-efficiency features include southeast facing glass, recessed windows, generous overhangs, and a reflective TPO roof. Its other functional characteristics like integrated dog crates enhance the overall curb appeal and usefulness.

Villa Morada harmoniously blends modern aesthetics with sustainable living, offering a sanctuary in Austin’s dynamic landscape.

The 2024 AIA Austin Homes Tour VIP Party will be held on Friday October 25th from 6 to 8pm. Tickets are available at www.aiaaustin.org.
