Inspired by the flowing form of a manta ray, this home is one of the most iconic residences in Austin, Texas. Located o one of the highest hills in Austin it was designed to harmonize with the hill-top and take advantage of the panoramic views of the skyline and river. The curvilinear roof is clad in diamond-shaped zinc panels which mimic the texture of the sea creature's skin. Despite the unique exterior form, the interior remains highly functional while also being highly expressive. The home is a regular fixture of the Austin skyline, and a notable stop pointed out from the Duck Tour boats that ply Lake Austin.
