“Murcielago” means bat in Spanish. Austin Texas is known as “bat city”. Under the Congress Avenue bridge resides the largest urban colony of Mexican free-tail bats. They take off at sunset each day during the summer months and spread their wings in search of food. Thousands watch this spectacle from the bridge and the shoreline. In honor of the bats, and “bat city” we have created the Murcielago - a mixed-use office tower. Our goal is to build this unique and iconic tower, which is an expression of our gratitude for living in such a great city as Austin, Texas.
