The studio — Winn Wittman Architecture, contemporary residential architects in Austin, Texas since 1996
Core Team

Winn Wittman, AIA, NCARB
Winn was born in Boston and received his B.A. from Tufts University in Art History and English Literature with a minor in Human Factors Engineering. He received his M.Arch from the University of Texas at Austin, where he studied with AIA Gold Medal winner Charles Moore.
After graduation he founded WWA in 1996 and has pursued his passion for design and craftsmanship, carving out an unconventional practice which aims to create homes that are total works of art and alternate realities.
He is passionate about tennis and plays USTA senior tournaments whenever he can. He lives with his wife and son in Austin, Texas.

Mario Segovia
Architecture is in Mario's DNA. Before this path, he studied naval architecture — designing boats taught him to think about structure, function, and beauty in unique ways. Guiding the WWA studio for seven years, he keeps every plate in the air.

Anna Niespielak
Anna's imagination knows no bounds. Her fascination with AI and robotics helps us push the needle at the intersection of design and technology. A true renaissance thinker, she believes tomorrow's architecture must honor our connection to the natural world. Hometown: Kraków, Poland.

Ashley Steinmann
With eight years guiding WWA's marketing efforts, Ashley is the steady hand behind the scenes, keeping every story we tell as considered as the homes we design.
You might be a good fit for us as a client if:
You are curious about what effect a personalized environment might have on the lives of you and your family.
You want a home that’s a unique expression of your values and priorities.
You aren’t looking for the lowest price but rather the best quality, vision and experience.
You aren’t looking for a “set of plans” but rather a comprehensive soup-to-nuts portfolio of services that will take you from the initial idea to the completed masterpiece.
You want an architect who has designed over $200m of award-winning homes.
You aren’t trying to impress anyone, you just want to live your best life.
You aren’t afraid of hearing “no” if it comes from a place of a seasoned guide advising you to your highest potential and helping you avoid costly mistakes.
Your construction budget is at least $3m.

Founded in 1996 in Austin, Texas, Winn Wittman Architecture began with a single premise — that a home is not a product to be assembled but a work of art to be composed. Three decades later, the conviction has not changed.

The practice has shaped contemporary residential landmarks across Texas hill country, Boston, Los Angeles, and Lake Charles. Each commission begins with site, light, and the lives the building will hold.

Published in nineteen countries — from Architectural Record in the United States to Hinge in Hong Kong, Objekt International across Europe, and Deco in Taiwan — the work has been read as a body, not a portfolio.

The practice integrates architecture, interior design, and design-build collaboration as a single discipline. There is no edge between the structure and the room. There is no edge between the room and the land.

LUXE“A home is not built. It is composed — of light, weight, silence,
and the slow accumulation of consequence.”

Winn Wittman Architecture has shaped contemporary residential landmarks for thirty years — from Texas hill country to Lake Charles, Boston, and Los Angeles. The practice integrates architecture, interior design, and the deep collaboration of design-build.
